None of the three producers that work on the show have written a blog in weeks. We’ve been busy…we’ll…they’ve been busy…I’m just lazy and forgot about it. Nonetheless, it’s time for a new blog, especially considering the subject of my last one. The problem is, unfortunately, I have no clue what I should write about. The following paragraphs are amusing antidotes of the current events going on in the world.

I’m currently attempting to win the $1,000,000 grand prize in the McDonald’s Monopoly game. I have Park Place, but I’m sure that the only Boardwalk game piece in America is somewhere near after the left turn in Albuquerque. I have two pieces of both the green section and yellow section of the board, which are the three highest of the high rent district. I also have three railroad pieces. I remember when this game began; you could have won a car if you had gotten all four railroad pieces. Come to think of it…the prizes were better years ago. This game ends November 2nd which is all too short. Who knows, I may get lucky. It’s been a good year so that would add to the goodness.

Last week, a Colorado family wasted two to three hours of America’s time by flying a mushroom/muffin looking UFO filled with helium claiming that their young son was trapped in it. It flew for a while at a crazy speed…but you’d think that with helium being such a light gas weighing less than the air around it that the weight of this kid, who was probably near 60-70 pounds, would have weighed the balloon down. That’s just an assumption by me…I may be wrong…I could get the Mythbusters on the case to explain it…but it’s just an assumption. Then the family goes on national television and the kid admits to a national audience that all of this was for show. This, by the way, proves my theory that children can be truthful AT THE WRONG TIME. Now, the mother and father could very well be implicated for violating several laws, probably including some FAA laws that they may have broken as well. There are times where a real jerk can just sit back and laugh at the misfortune of others…and this is one of them.

We found out that ESPN baseball analyst Steve Phillips, is banging an ESPN production assistant. His wife is obviously not happy about that. She’s less happy about the fact that the mistress is sending her letters describing graphically the relationship between her and Phillips. Really…you wait until you get married to cheat on a woman…and I’m single!? You get all that sex and partying out before you get married. As James Earl Jones said on Coming to America, “You want to sow your royal oats.” You don’t do it when you’re married. Now, I’m not saying that you have to be fully devoted; you could look…but you can’t touch. Steve Phillips touched. Unfortunately, after seeing the pictures of the woman, it seems as if he touched Dan Uggla.

One of my roles as one of the producers on the show, I get Dan and Stugotz informed via showsheet, I cut up sound from the show, I get on air for the Top Ten…but the pride and joy of my job…creating rejoins. Four hour show equals just about 16 commercial breaks. I’d say just about 6-10 of my rejoins are played on a daily basis. I’m going to say that my rejoin number is reaching 100 over the one year I’ve been working on the show. If anyone have any ideas for future rejoins, just post them here on the comments section.
