The Everybody Hates LeBron Blog
Posted 7/18/2010 3:33:00 PM
Everyone’s angry in Cleveland. Even people who go to church often are angry. They’re angry at one person. LeBron James. The poor people of Cleveland; you really have to feel bad for them at some point. The last championship for the Browns was before the NFL/AFL merger in 1964. The Cleveland Indians haven’t won a World Series since 1948. The Cavaliers have never won in their forty year existence. But they felt since the drafting of James back in 2003 that Akron’s former favorite son would bring home the team’s first NBA title. These people dreamed that he could bring Cleveland, a city long starving for a championship, their first in 46 years. On July 8th, those dreams were shattered.
The entire state of Ohio hasn’t seen a professional sport championship since the 1990 Cincinnati Reds. In fact, Ohio’s saving grace is on a campus in the state capital Columbus. ...
The Official Rulebook for Sports Fans Blog

Firstly, I would like to start off this blog by congratulating both the Chicago Blackhawks and the Los Angeles Lakers for winning their sport's respective championships. The 'Hawks in particular...for it was I who predicted correctly immediately after those sorry Pittsburgh Penguins won the cup last season that a tribe called Chicago would take hockey's holy grail back to Chicago for the first time in 49 years. Not to toot my own horn or anything but if I could get a blast from the United Center goal horn I'd be happy. Then again...it is my ring tone. And now, it’s on to the point of this blog.
I've have many a lonely night with nothing to do to think of this idea. I've come up with a potential subject for a book that I could write and make money on. I would be pulling the Bill Simmons card on this ...
The NHL Playoffs Blog

We are midway through and so far in these NHL playoffs there have been major upsets, just based in the Eastern Conference, but there were none bigger than the Montreal Canadiens at the 8 seed beating the Presidents Trophy winning Washington Capitals in the first round. It’s never happened before where an 8 seed beat a 1 seed while the 1 seed had a 3-1 series lead. So already the NHL lost what they wanted in a Capitals-Penguins second round, which probably would have only happened in the conference finals because of the reseeding.
The second round, the very same Canadiens beat the defending champion Penguins in six games. That really made me happy as I don’t have to see Sidney Crosby lift the Stanley Cup again. Nothing made me sicker than seeing him lift it last season. Come to think of it…as soon as the Red Wings gave up ...
The Renyel Pinto Blog

In the twenty five years of my existence here on earth, I’ve never seen an individual on a Miami based team that was treated with such violent ill will and with such distain by his own fans as Florida Marlins relief pitcher Renyel Pinto. I’ve seen Sammie Smith…I’ve felt some of the Heat fans ire when Alonzo Mourning left for New Jersey…Ted Ginn Jr’s been going through it lately. Pinto, however, is a completely different story. During Friday’s home opener it was pretty evident that Pinto is very much hated in this city. The season roll-call where all the players come out to the foul line had EVERYBODY booing Pinto when he came out of the dugout. In the ninth inning for his appearance, the fans that remained booed him on sight. When he came out of the game after the three run ninth inning, he was booed leaving the ...
The I Hate Sidney Crosby Blog
Posted 3/6/2010 10:07:00 PM
Of course you know this already. I do hate Sidney Crosby. Let it be known from the mountaintops…or in this case, Trash Mountain…that Sidney Crosby is on my hit list. If I ever see that guy in the street I’m punching him in the face. Now those of you who know hockey or just want to argue against me will say, “You’re irrational” or something dirtier, but let me just say, I don’t give a damn. You won’t change my mind and the only way that Crosby gets off my hit list is if he becomes a Panther. So with that, Crosby will forever be my most hated athlete.
The Pittsburgh Penguins were a terrible team before the lockout. So terrible, in fact, that in the 2003 draft, they won the draft lottery. Drafting first, they picked goaltender Mark-Andre Fleury. Still terrible the year before the NHL lockout, they ended ...
