The Modern Warfare Blog

I’m not a major gamer. I’ve only had my XBOX 360 for about one year. I have to tell you, though, “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2” has me salivating. I pre-ordered it on Amazon this past Monday. I did it economically, however. I used the Super Saver Delivery option which made the shipping free, though could very well have the game sent early December. I got a $20 credit to my next game bought on Amazon after the purchase…which is likely to be ”NHL 10.” Not to mention, I have a reserve at the local GameStop for “Splinter Cell: Conviction.” I only play sports games and first person shooters. MW2 already had the biggest launch in entertainment history earning $310M on its first day in the United States and Great Britain. “The Dark Knight” last year made half that on opening day. Mike has already bought MW2, but has ...

The Random Blog

None of the three producers that work on the show have written a blog in weeks. We’ve been busy…we’ll…they’ve been busy…I’m just lazy and forgot about it. Nonetheless, it’s time for a new blog, especially considering the subject of my last one. The problem is, unfortunately, I have no clue what I should write about. The following paragraphs are amusing antidotes of the current events going on in the world.

I’m currently attempting to win the $1,000,000 grand prize in the McDonald’s Monopoly game. I have Park Place, but I’m sure that the only Boardwalk game piece in America is somewhere near after the left turn in Albuquerque. I have two pieces of both the green section and yellow section of the board, which are the three highest of the high rent district. I also have three railroad pieces. I remember when this game began; you could have won a ...

The Anniversary Blog

Before I get into this blog, three deaths happened to three people...three very good people...that have been important in my life within the span of a week and a half. I hope that Charles James, my great-uncle, Lyle Hochman, Hoch's father, and Freddy Reddish, the father of one of my best friends, rests in peace. Three very good men, very good fathers, very good people, will be remembered forever.

As Dan would say, not a very good segue to whatever the hell the following gibberish will be. I'd like to apologize for the laziness in my blogs lately. My bad. I live a boring life anyway and there really isn't much to talk about when it comes to me. The things around me, however, are much more fun to talk about...lets begin there.

It's the fifth anniversary of 790 the Ticket. Five years, ladies and gentlemen. The only thing that ...

The Dating Blog

I went on a date Sunday at Bahama Breeze. I think it went well. Granted, it's just a feeling out process but I think we hit it off. It was almost like a blur to me as the date felt like it went by quickly, but we were there for an hour and a half. I grabbed a table outside while I waited for her. Bahama Breeze's outside patio had fans and mist sprays set up, but the mist made it very humid, so we went inside.

Now, for those who know me...especially around the station, my friends...my family...knows I don't talk. I don't talk...I don't start conversations, I just answer whatever question was asked and move on. However, on rare occasions when I'm nervous, I do talk....well I do more than that...I tend to ramble...as if I'm writing...like what I'm doing now. That's what I was doing. I felt ...

The Car Blog

On Monday night, I bought a new car. Maroone Dodge had a nice silver 2009 Dodge Avenger that I got for $17,000. It had to be done.

Anyone who knows me, knows what kind of car I drove before Monday. They would tell you that it had to be done. The previous car was a 1995 Nissan Altima. It served me well in the four years I've owned it and though it was on its dyiing days, it was reliable. For instance, the transmission was on its way out. For the car to get started rolling, I had to shift to low gear. After driving on low gear for 30 seconds I could shift to drive normally. Its not a good way to drive your car but I had to do it. I figured that I could use the car in this new Obama signed bill where you could get ...
