Anticipation… By Hoch

July 7th, 2008

By the time you read this, I may already have found what I’m looking for. A Burger King loaded steakhouse burger. That’s right. I was out this past weekend with some friends, and my friend Pete asked me if I had tried the loaded steakhouse burger from Burger King. I informed him that I wasn’t even aware of the burger, and he told me I should go as quickly as I can to the nearest Burger King to get one.

I must admit, shamefully, that I do enjoy fast food. I know it’s not good for you… I know it’s loaded with fats and sodium… But, I like fast food and I’m not going to stop eating it. Then Pete told me about the Burger King loaded steakhouse burger, and my anticipation built… It’s not your typical BK burger- it’s angus beef. And it’s got cheese. And it’s got BBQ sauce… and it’s got- get ready for this- MASHED POTATOES ON TOP. That’s right… If you order the steakhouse burger “loaded,” it’s got a layer of mashed potatoes. Oh sweet heaven.

So I’ve been thinking about it all weekend. Anticipating it. I’m not a big BK fan, but this burger sounds perfect to me. (I could smother just about anything in mashed potatoes and enjoy it.) My real favorite fast food is Wendy’s. (Or Pollo Tropical and Chicken Kitchen if you’re feeling like something a bit healthier.) BK is pretty far down on my list. I remember several years ago seeing a commercial for a “Shaq Burger” at BK, so I went and tried that and I swore I’d never go back. The Shaq Burger was to hamburgers what the real Shaq is to speed.

So, my plan right now is to stop and get a loaded steakhouse burger from BK before work on Monday. I’ll keep you updated as to how it all works out.

Reading your blog is like an extra layer of mashed potatoes on top of my monday morning.

Wendy’s is the shit. I don’t consider the Spicey Chicken sandwich to be fast food at all. In fact its the only fast food I allow myself to eat. The girl from back home with big boobs says she thinks its disgusting. Keep hope alive Hochman.

  • 2. King of Loserville  |  July 7th, 2008 at 2:48 pm

Hoch, I anticipate that 5 minutes after eating that Loaded Steakburger you are going to be dropping a bomb bigger then the A-Rod divorce in the WAXY bathroom…

    Noh!!!!!!!

  • 3. cc  |  July 7th, 2008 at 3:13 pm

King any ratings on little Zaslow ? Have you listened lately

  • 4. King of Loserville  |  July 7th, 2008 at 4:38 pm

cc…sorry…nothing yet…can’t listen to that Ass Clown, he voice is like chalk on a board…kills me…

I would rather eat 10 Loaded Steakburgers and plug my a$$ shut so I explode from the inside!!!

  • 5. Jerry  |  July 7th, 2008 at 5:20 pm

Apparently Shawn Marion’s tatoo that he thought means “The Matrix” really doesn’t…..I hope they don’t trade him now so I can start the “Demon Bird Mothballs” chant at Heat games this season!

  • 6. Hassenpfeffer  |  July 7th, 2008 at 6:00 pm

I love mashed potatoes. I would replace the BBQ for gravy. Now wouldn’t that be heaven.

  • 7. hoops  |  July 7th, 2008 at 6:44 pm

Jerry, who said that ? If I were to guess the guy Zaslow that knows nothing about basketball and the guy could not tell you a box and 1 from a paper box. I guess if you had season tickets

  • 8. hoops  |  July 7th, 2008 at 6:55 pm

Anything to do with White Castle should be anticipated but BK is decent

  • 9. manuel  |  July 7th, 2008 at 8:23 pm

McGriddle…egg sandwich with bacon in a bun that has maple syrup in it….urgh.

  • 10. King of Loserville  |  July 8th, 2008 at 12:04 am

Hoch…the Queen of Loserville had a loaded Steakhouse Burger tonight…she said it was great but could not eat the whole thing…she said it’s a fast food heart attack!!!!

  • 11. Whore Island President  |  July 8th, 2008 at 1:39 am

Anticipation? Sounds like a ketch-up commercial or something. I had to fire my last cabana boy, Dan LeBatard. He was a lousey lover and he would always eat all my grapes.

Hoch, why don’t you just stick the Steakhouse burger on each thigh because that is where they will end up eventually.

  • 12. Hassenpfeffer  |  July 8th, 2008 at 4:44 am

OMG I turned on Zas by mistake and we was all worried the Uggla would hurt his swing for the second half of the season. What a fool. I really hurts A-Rod, McGwire, Sosa, Griffey Jr. and Frank Thomas, in the past.

Yeah and the voice don’t help either. He sounds like Peter Brady when his voice was changing.

Hey click the link and sign to keep Bud American.

  • 13. Hassenpfeffer  |  July 8th, 2008 at 5:59 am

If you didn’t figure it out. Zas was worried because Uggla was in the home run contest.

Any Double Steak burger with cheese from Steak and Shake. BK is hit or miss. I don’t like there fries. Wendys is good but when it’s not it’s like school caffitera food.

sign up to keep Bud American. DO IT.

  • 14. TC  |  July 8th, 2008 at 12:18 pm

Hass Bud aint about petitions or american pride. Its about $ man. Why cant people learn that.

  • 15. Whore Island President  |  July 8th, 2008 at 12:45 pm

Or better yet, Hoch, just put your Steakhouse Burger in a blender then put all of it in a IV bag and connect directly to your heart. It’ll save you valuable time on chewing and let you work on Dan’s show.

  • 16. cc  |  July 8th, 2008 at 1:58 pm

Hass, little man Zas looks real smart as D-TRAIN who he said the Marlins would miss will not even have half the wins as Miller

  • 17. hoops  |  July 8th, 2008 at 3:19 pm

Zaslow you are not part of the Heat so don’t refer to we. You could not play Division 3 so if you could not play with all your so called knowledge how can you talk

  • 18. Hassenpfeffer  |  July 8th, 2008 at 4:23 pm

TC - I understand it’s all about the $$$. The current board does not want to sell. So show some support for America’s Lager. Besides InBev is bad for employees. They will come in and cut jobs the same way they did everywhere else.

  • 19. manuel  |  July 8th, 2008 at 8:10 pm

Why go public in the first place unless you want to make more money.

I’m all about loyalty to your country and keeping jobs American, but i’m pretty sure most of these overpaid CEO’s are all about the benjamins and nothing else.

If the offer was larger, they would have no problem selling it is my guess.

HOW ABOUT JESSICA ALBA IN “FANTASTIC FOURSKIN”

  • 21. Anonymous  |  July 8th, 2008 at 8:53 pm

    WOW IS ZASLOW BAD

  • 22. cc  |  July 9th, 2008 at 2:21 am

Come on 790 good station so why do you put Zas on and on Thursday the aternoon. Any major market his little kid would get no air time

  • 23. Hassenpfeffer  |  July 9th, 2008 at 5:20 am

Yeah you might be right manuel but if someone wanted to buy something that you didn’t want to sell wouldn’t you want more. The issue Inbev has is that AB will not negotiate. Which tells me they do not want to sell. So why should they?

As any one signed the petition? If not please do and let me know.

  • 24. Hassenpfeffer  |  July 9th, 2008 at 6:21 am

Yes, Hoch I epect a response either yea or nay. Really this important to me. Give the folks some time on the air. They would put you in there media section. Promo this show so you can tale it national. They are adding 2000 people a day with natinal coverage.

  • 25. manuel  |  July 9th, 2008 at 1:16 pm

Hostile take overs are not that uncommon in the wallstreet world. Ultimately, the company is owned by the stock holders and at the end of the day, any attempt at a take over/purchase of this matter will go to them for vote.

  • 26. Hassenpfeffer  |  July 9th, 2008 at 4:42 pm

You are right manuel but it doesn’t make them good.

    http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2004/12/19/BUGGBACKKQ1.DTL

And no this take over is not good for AB employees, the stockholders, St. Louis or the AB Brands. There are a lot of loyal AB drinkers that are against this. Just ask a NASCAR fan.

  • 27. hoops  |  July 9th, 2008 at 7:00 pm

I caught some of Ed’s show and I agree that he is good. What about him at the 7 hour?

  • 28. Fake Chairman of Paper Company with Golden Parachute  |  July 9th, 2008 at 7:24 pm

    You’re out of line Gekko!

  • 29. TC  |  July 9th, 2008 at 8:26 pm

Whatever did happen to that fucking burger Hochman? Did you guys eat it on air when I wasnt listening or something? If you hype something and then don’t deliver, your just a big radio tease.

I have not eaten the damn burger yet. Tomorrow for lunch, hopefully.

  • 32. Hassenpfeffer  |  July 10th, 2008 at 4:43 am

Hoch is the poker event next week full? let me know. Even if it is I will show up in a SaveAB.com shirt just to harass you and Dan. BTW can’t you get BK to supply steakhouses for all?

  • 33. TC  |  July 10th, 2008 at 2:13 pm

Hass, I signed up last night. I’m pretty sure there are spots left. (My gut tells me more than enough). By the way, for someone like me who has no idea this place or this sport existed until recently, it was an experience going there. Its like a huge game of racquetball, but instead of using racquets, you use the hollowed out skulls of the creatures from the Aliens movies.

  • 34. cc  |  July 10th, 2008 at 3:25 pm

Mr. King, is that little guy on MTV Zas as he probably knows more sports

  • 35. King of Loserville  |  July 10th, 2008 at 5:20 pm

A-Hole isn’t on TV unless your watching Are you Smarter then a 5th Grader…he’s the little boy that never gets picked in the front of the class. Is WAXY feeling the fuel crunch and is that why they gave this clown a time slot? Cheap Labor?…hmm…hmm…Survey Says’ “100 people” the Game is over…

Hass…Manuel is bringing up some good points about the stockholders. Eventually push is going to come to shove and if we (this country) can’t get our arms around our fuel dependency this will not be the first company to ship out. DHL I heard is packing up their Florida offices shortly. OUT OF THE COUNTRY.

The bottom line is we are in economic distress…and the country needs to look from within and see where the bleeding is occurring.

I go back to a previous point I made…we spend more money fixing other countries and industrializing those countries then we do on our schools, river levees, highways and bridges. Then we have the nerve to be upset at the very countries that we industrialized because now they need fuel and steel, etc. and hence are driving up the price of oil.

Locally…Norman Braman is standing on his pedestal of “looking out for the people” F@ck that…he is looking for himself…why? Because this downtown / Overtown renovation is going to keep hitting his profits…he owns how many dealers? How many miles of mass transit does he want here? ZERO

We as a country need to think outside the box or guess what? Everyone is going to leave the sandbox…FPL has raised their rates 16%…are they planning to lower them back once we get out of this strife? Comcast raised my rate $2.00…Fuel cost…

The bottom line is we know as much as we are told by the “powers that be” in your state, in the country, at your job…etc…

So if we need to build the metro system down here and manhattanize the city in order to lower our fuel dependency then so be it…the alternative is far worse.

If we need to have 4 day work weeks in order to lower our fuel dependency…I’m in…

What I am not ok with is having men and women of this country continue to go on duty out of the country as the international police of the world only to get shot at by the very people they are trying to protect. Farmers should not be wondering how they are going to make it through the summer cause a flood destroyed their fields…a flood…we are in the 21st century…we can put low jack in a car to find recover it from anywhere, we can shoot a missile from here to Europe, we can get on the phone with someone and tell them we locked out keys in our cars and they will open it right up. But we can’t find a way to stop a river from flooding a city in this country?

Change is good…so either we change our ways of living and thinking or we will find ourselves alone in our sandboxes!!! Let’s keep AB here and let’s keep this country moving forward.

  • 36. Hassenpfeffer  |  July 10th, 2008 at 6:18 pm

As always King you speak the truth. I can not disagree with any of the above statements made. I already have a 4 day work week. And Braman what does he hate baseball or is it he couldn’t figure out a way to make a buck. I will buy a car from that rip off guy. Not sure who is the bigger con-artist him or Maroone.

TC, thanks, not sure if they will accomplish the goal but we all watched 1980 US Hockey team and look what they did.

  • 37. King of Loserville  |  July 10th, 2008 at 10:51 pm

Guys I am thinking of opening up my own blog and STILL blogging on here with my fellow Hochamaniacs.

Can I get some love once it’s open?

  • 38. cc  |  July 10th, 2008 at 11:14 pm

King of all bloggers you are the man. We need you here to get little man out

  • 39. Hassenpfeffer  |  July 11th, 2008 at 1:29 am

  • 41. cc  |  July 11th, 2008 at 3:17 am

    he meaning Zas

  • 42. Hassenpfeffer  |  July 11th, 2008 at 6:39 am

Yeah more on AB. R there any Cubas that read this blog? Well read this.

Shareholders also should be aware that InBev, through a subsidiary, has a significant partnership with the government of Cuba to produce and distribute products in Cuba. InBev has not commented on how that would impact business with Anheuser‑Busch’s customers, nor on its ability to complete an acquisition under U.S. laws that affect acquisitions of U.S. companies by foreign companies.

Just sign the petition. Or do you want to support Castro?

    Thanks,
    Hassenpfeffer

  • 43. King of Loserville  |  July 11th, 2008 at 9:40 am

Wow…good stuff Hass…keep pulling that info down for us…this is getting nasty huh?

Let’s face it DC is only worried about big oils profits…which if I am not mistaken broke all of last years records…which were records themselves.

Fredo was good…better than A-Hole…don’t worry everyone his time will come…A-Hole can only pretend to do his job for so long…it’s not like he’s the President or something..??..!!??

  • 44. manuel  |  July 11th, 2008 at 1:53 pm

I have to get this off my chest….

When is Freddie going to move Hermida to 6th in the batting order. I’m so sick of this guy going up there with Hanley on base and not delivering. His sub.800 POS is pathetic for a guy hitting in the two hole. My proposed line up:

    1. Hanley
    2. Uggla
    3. Cantu
    4. Willingham
    5. Jacobs
    6. Ross
    7. Hermida
    8. Treanor/Baker/whoever at C
    9. P

Until Hermida starts looking the way he did in the 2nd half of last season, its time to reduce his AB.

    No?

  • 45. King of Loserville  |  July 11th, 2008 at 3:01 pm

manuel good call…we gotta capitalize on the bats casue it doesn’t seem as if these knows hw to bunt or what a bunt is…

Exicting baseball yes…but very unoxthrodox if you ask me…the game against the Nationals that they won off the Willingham HR shuld never have gone to Extra Innings…

The could have bunted runs in…ti’s all good, but your 100% right if you ain’t hitting, you ain’t playing!!

  • 46. hoops  |  July 11th, 2008 at 4:36 pm

Hass is the baseball guy but I agree .Every year you expect Jeremy to put up big numbers as he has the tools. I hope Kings prediction is right Zaslow is damn awful. He tried talking hoops and the dude could not beat Verne one on one
