We’re Coming To Hialeah… By Hoch

August 8th, 2008

It’s been a while since our show did a movie screening, but we’re back baby! Wednesday night after the show we’re all going to gather at the Muvico in Hialeah and watch the new Ben Stiller movie “Tropic Thunder.” If you’ve never been to one of our movie screenings, here’s how it works: Get there early! The theater holds about 400 people, and thanks to A & P Air Conditioning, all the seats are paid for. I have to give major props to A & P for sponsoring the event. They really came through for all the listeners by sponsoring it. The great thing about the LeBatard Show listeners is that we stick together, so please- if you need a new air conditioner or repairs to your current a/c unit- check out A & P Air Conditioning at www.APAirConditioning.com.

So, I’m figuring if you get to the movie theater by 7 or 7:30 Wednesday night you’ll get a decent seat. Just like we’ve done in the past movie screenings, it will be open seating, so the earlier you get there, the better seat you’ll get. (And it’s not stadium seating at this theater, so be prepared!)

We’ll give out some prizes before the movie… And we’ll also be looking for the best mustaches too. (So, grow a mustache. Now.) If you need directions to the Muvico in Hialeah, check out the Muvico website at www.muvico.com.

Dan’s been giving me shit on the air, saying I have no desire to go to Hialeah, but I actually am looking forward to it. I always enjoy our movie screenings, so I figure this one should be no different. And, even though I’m a Dania Beach guy, I’m looking forward to hanging out with the listeners in Dade. (And I’m looking forward to the Muvico Icee’s. If they’re anything like the Icee’s at the Muvico in Boca, I suggest you get one.)

If you have any questions about the movie screening, drop me an e-mail at cantstanddan@790theticket.com. Hialeah!

  • 2. manuel  |  August 8th, 2008 at 4:54 pm

And for once, you guys actually picked what looks to be a very funny movie instead of the previous *meant to be* crappy flicks.

  • 3. JOse  |  August 8th, 2008 at 11:22 pm

I cant wait. See you all there. IS Sid or Sedano coming?

  • 4. Hassenpfeffer  |  August 9th, 2008 at 10:04 am

How about a mustache contest at Dania? I was pushing for that months ago. I can grow a Wanstache.

I can’t make this event and NO not because it is in Hialeah. I love Hialeah, can’t make it becaues I am busy with work and am taking off early the next day to watch my hometown Marlins kick the shit out of my hometown Cardinals.

I really hate Stiller, but it does have Robert Downey Jr. a great actor. So it might be good. BTW Hoch Aventura is in Dade. When was the last time Dan was in Hialeah? Actually I like Hialeah because it’s a wack-job of a city. But the best thing about Hialeah is El Rey de las Fritas. If you never had a Cuban hamburger go see El Rey.

    See y’all at Jia Alai

On second though, Hoch what time does the show start? I might want to go. Also give the address of the theater. I want dollar popcorn.

Pennington?????????Why?????????? He better not be the starter, if so I am gone as a fan.

  • 7. Hassenpfeffer  |  August 10th, 2008 at 11:09 am

After seeing the game last night I take back my last statement.

  • 8. King of Loserville  |  August 10th, 2008 at 1:59 pm

I was terrified about having Farve on the Jets…cause I didn’t know what he was going to bring…who knows if he is going to even have the heart to play. On top of which the New York crowds are vicious…

After see the Dolphins last night…I feel really sorry for you at QB…Pennington needs to be not only the starter but if he gets hurt…you DolFans need to petition to legalize HGH and Steroids so he can come back faster…

Hoch, when does the show start?

  • 15. TC  |  August 11th, 2008 at 12:53 pm

Hassenpfeffer, I think we need to limit your posts. Or at least put you on meds or something. How about this, after you post, you must wait until at least 1 person has posted before you can post again. Your turning this crappy blog into a “Watch Hassenpfeffer talk to himself.”

  • 16. Anonymous  |  August 11th, 2008 at 1:29 pm

    NO MAS ZASLOW

  • 17. King of Loserville  |  August 11th, 2008 at 2:10 pm

The Hood Family are the ones that sponsor the Muvico events in Dania…

I guess…no Hablan Espanol…so they had to get the local Hialeah A/C company to sponsor the event.

Well at the Dania events you gave away so crappy prizes…mind you I am still waiting for my Gene Katy autograph picture.

I say at this event you give out $10 bags of Shrimp, and some Churros, a Pan con Bistec, and a order of Mariquitas…oh watch if Asslow goes we’ll all have our fair share of “mariquitas”

  • 18. Hoch  |  August 11th, 2008 at 3:43 pm

The movie is going to start around 8:30pm… but I suggest getting there early since there’s no guest list and there’s no stadium seating… First come, first served!

  • 19. TC  |  August 11th, 2008 at 4:03 pm

How’s your mustache coming Hoch? I see you in a glorious golden Fu-Manchu.

  • 20. Hassenpfeffer  |  August 11th, 2008 at 6:45 pm

TC why didn’t anyone but me post for 2 days?

  • 21. TC  |  August 11th, 2008 at 6:53 pm

I believe its called a weekend.

  • 22. Hassenpfeffer  |  August 11th, 2008 at 11:20 pm

TC no one posts on the weekend??? I was working and on the computer all weekend. Besides Just like the show this blog is a crappfest. I think just like voting you should post earlier and post offen. Besides I have always defened post regaring your Zas comments. It’s all good. Go to Jai Alai, I’ll buy ya a beer.

  • 23. manuel  |  August 12th, 2008 at 12:52 pm

I’m wondering if there’s enough fans in Palm Beach to host an event there. I think we’re getting the shaft even more than Dade county was.

Hoch, you live in Boca, make LeDouche drive to the Muvico there for a future event since he’s making you go to Hialeah.

And, no offense to those who live there; but Hialeah is dreck.

  • 24. TC  |  August 12th, 2008 at 1:10 pm

I think the next event should DEFINITLY be with Trick Daddy at the strip club. That would be an all timer.

  • 25. manuel  |  August 12th, 2008 at 9:12 pm

I’m so glad HOCH just suey’d Ted Hendricks. Oh my God, what a boring dude. The greatest part is Dan tried to say good bye at the end and Hendricks just kept babling…LOL. Classic!

  • 26. King of Loserville  |  August 13th, 2008 at 12:44 am

That was me who called and asked that he get sueyed…I was driving on the turnpike and thinking if I should just end it all…

    The guy was killing me!!!!

  • 27. manuel  |  August 13th, 2008 at 4:41 pm

I also have to give a shout out to FAKE PAVAROTTI/PLACIDO.

The “goodship freddie pop” is really really funny.

Speaking of songs, where the f*** is fake Cote?

Marchant, dude, time to come up with some songs. We miss you. What was the last one you did, Dan Ugla about a year ago? What gives?

  • 28. KKKraphead  |  August 14th, 2008 at 1:30 am

  • 29. Big John Stud  |  August 14th, 2008 at 3:33 pm

Holy crap! I just listened to the end of last night’s show, and I cried laughing! I was trying so hard to now burst out laughing cause I’m at work.

Guayaberas! Churros! 75 black people! Cafecitos! Goats and chickens!

  • 30. manuel  |  August 14th, 2008 at 4:13 pm

Dan was “en fuego” at the end of last nights show.

I love how he just ran out of time before the Marlins cut over.

Hoch, that was a 2008-09 Suey moment.
